Dev Log 3 [06.30.24]




Just a general overview on the update for the demo that I just released:

  • The adjusted word count is 15k


    • The rest of the word count from the previous update was either moved into love interest chapters, or is no longer relevant and needs to be rewritten.
    • The story is still only a teaser portion of chapter one. At this time, no LI routes are out.
  • Sprites: 
    • the sprites and animations have been updated, with planed additional animation changes down the line. 
    • Icarus had the main design update, with the others getting recoloring to fit with their themes a bit more. 
    • NPC sprites are placeholders for now.
  •  UI and Background: 
    • Backgrounds have been adjusted to a more glowy/VHS-esque look. 
    • Minor adjustment to menus, fonts, and the like have been added.
    • Minor audio pitch adjustments.
    • chatbot ui has been shifted to a phone UI, as it allowed for more flexibility.
  • Art
    • I'm mostly happy with the LI sprites, so from here on out they will stay the same, aside from slight adjustments.
    • CGs, I don't mind the first 4 CGs, but I will likely updated them closer to the end of development.
    • The rest of the edits for phones, items, ext will be cleaned up down the line as well.


I wanted to get a more fleshed out demo to submit for the otome jam, after this the only game file updates (aside from any bug/writing fixes) will be for completed pieces. 

I am still deciding if I want to work on and release 1 route at a time, so I can get things to y'all a little faster, or if I am just going to wait until the full thing is finished and release it at once.
